Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Deemed ‘Steam Deck Verified’

There is another portable option for Monster Hunter games. Capcom announced that Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is now Steam Deck verified. In the past, people could still experience the title on the device. It was considered playable, with the on-screen keyboard and other elements not quite there. But now it is fully compatible. In addition, it also supports Latin American Spanish.

Here’s the official announcement from Capcom, which also includes a brief trailer of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne running on a Steam Deck.

As a reminder, Iceborne is the expansion that arrived in 2019. It essentially was the “G” or “Ultimate” version of the game, adding the new Hoarfrost Reach location. Once people get there, they can face monsters like Alatreon, Fatalis, Gold Rathian, Nargacuga, Rajang, and Zinogre. They can also reach Master Rank.

This isn’t the only Steam Deck verified Monster Hunter game. People can also play Monster Hunter Rise on the device. However, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is unsupported at the moment. Capcom hasn’t made any statement as to whether or not that status could change in the future to allow access as well.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
