Monster Hunter Stories 2 Opening Movie Features a Song and a Dance

There’s yet another new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2, and this one offers a glimpse at its opening movie. It offers an idea of its atmosphere, beginning in a village with a performance. Then, it hints at the story segments and higher stakes that are yet to come.

The Monster Hunter Stories 2 introduction begins with a village ceremony. A singer is on stage performing. Once she’s done with her song, there’s drumming and dancing. All while this is happening, we see Ena running with some scoutflies following her. She then comes upon a Rathalos. Upon reuniting with the monster, she makes a discovery. The events then set up a potential conflict players will deal with throughout the game.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will come to the Nintendo Switch and PC on July 9, 2021. It builds on the original and incorporates features and monsters from Monster Hunter World.
