Capcom published a launch trailer for the PC version of Monster Hunter Rise ahead of its January 12, 2022 release. The new trailer revealed that Monster Hunter Rise on PC will include filters to emulate cinematic screens. There will be six filter options available: Black & White, Sepia, Japanese-style, Warring Lands-style, Black & White Cinematic, and Sepia Cinematic. According to the Japanese description, the Warring Lands filter emulates movies based on the Japanese 16th-century Warring States era.
In addition to the new screen filters, the trailer also reiterated the new graphic features available exclusively on PC. These include 4K resolution, uncapped frame rate, and ultra-wide display support.

Capcom previously announced that the PC version of Monster Hunter Rise will be mostly caught up to the Switch release on launch. It will include all major updates and crossover content released on Switch up until Ver.3.6.1, including the most recent collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog. However, the company also stated that it could not implement cross-save or cross-play between the Switch and PC versions.
Monster Hunter Rise is currently available on Nintendo Switch. The PC version will appear via Steam on January 12, 2022. Capcom is also working on the Sunbreak expansion, which releases for both the Switch and PC in Summer 2022.
