Monster Hunter Rise Magnamalo Amiibo Unlocks Unique Layered Armor

Capcom has announced production of a Magnamalo amiibo, and it comes with a special feature. Those who get their hands on this amiibo will unlock a special layered armor set. Players can don layered armor inspired by the new flagship monster, the Magnamalo, when purchasing this item. The Magnamalo amiibo will cost ¥2,000 (or $25 through North American retailers) and will release on March 26, 2021. Consumers can get their hands on this amiibo through the official e-Capcom online store or through the Nintendo Store. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Additionally, two other amiibo are available to purchase. These special Palamute and Palico amiibo will unlock Magnamalo inspired layered armor for your furry companions. Each of these amiibos cost ¥1,500 (or $20 through North American retailers) individually and can be purchased through the same storefronts as the Magnamalo amiibo. These amiibo will release on March 26, 2021.

In September, Capcom announced the Magnamalo, Palico, and Palamute amiibo. However, this is the first time they have disclosed what these special amiibo will unlock in Monster Hunter Rise. Additionally, these amiibo will be available to purchase internationally through select retailers.

Players will want to keep their save data from the Monster Hunter Rise demo. Capcom revealed that those who do will receive a special item pack once the game releases. This includes a handful of helpful items that will give players the edge while fighting entirely new monsters, and returning monsters like the Khezu.

The Monster Hunter Rise free demo is immediately available and can be accessed until February 1, 2021. Monster Hunter Rise will launch on the Nintendo Switch worldwide on March 26, 2021.
