In Capcom’s most recent second quarter financial report, it revealed the company achieved record levels of growth. This was partly due to digital sales of Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village. However, Capcom also noted that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin also contributed to company’s current success.

Monster Hunter Rise has continued to solidify the Monster Hunter brand, having sold 7.5 million units worldwide since its release in March 2021. It is currently Capcom’s best selling single platform title. Additionally, Capcom will release a paid expansion for Monster Hunter Rise in Summer 2022. The Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak expansion will add new monsters and hunter actions into the game. It will also feature a new player hub. Monster Hunter Rise will also release on PC on January 12, 2021. However, it will not have cross saves or cross play.
