Naoya Shimokawa, the COO and an executive producer at Aquaplus, has Tweeted that the company is working hard on developing a demo for Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten. When finished, the demo will take about 4 to 5 hours to complete if playing normally. It would also be around 10% of the full game’s contents. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

The demo should take 4-5 hours to complete and it is 10% of the full game. This implies a total playtime of about 40 to 50 hours to finish. Shimokawa has not provided an estimate as to when the demo will become available. Unlike previous Utawarerumono games, which was a tactical role-playing game with visual novel elements, Monochrome Mobius will play closer to a classic JRPG. It will feature turn-based combat, 3D characters, and field exploration.
Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten will take place in the Utawarerumono world. The game had an original release date of September 2022, but two delays pushed it back until November 2022. It will act as a prequel to Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, focusing on the character Oshtor. In Mask of Deception, Oshtor was a major side character, and was General of the Right in the Empire of Yamato. He wore an “Akuruka” mask and could call upon supernatural powers.
