The preview video introduces viewers to Hathaway Noa, Gigi Andalucia, and Kenneth Sleg. The characters are on a spaceship, discussing the current political and societal situation. After all, it has been twelve years since the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack. However, the peace doesn’t last long before terrorist organization Mafty attacks.

The almost 16 minute clip features a high-paced soundtrack by Hiroyuki Sawano (Promare, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Attack on Titan) and beautifully smooth animation that suck the viewer in.

The Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash Theater Edition Blu-Ray will cost 12,000 JPY (around $110.30). This version is only available at theaters that air the movie. The Blu-Ray will also have multiple subtitles tracks. Goodies that come with the Theater Edition Blu-Ray include the original soundtrack, the first volume of the Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash novel, and a 407-minute-long audiobook of said novel.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash takes place in the same universe as the original Mobile Suit Gundam, which can now be streamed on Crunchyroll. The movie and the Blu-Ray both come out on May 7, 2021.
