Million Arthur series producer Hiroaki Iwano from Square Enix announced in a recent livestream that he has left Square Enix as of April, and will be working in a different company from now on and working on new challenges.
That said, Iwano mentioned that he’s actually not been in charge of the Million Arthur projects for a while now, with the responsibilities shifting over to the other producers.
For those unfamiliar with the Million Arthur series, the series began with the smartphone title Kaku-san-sei Million Arthur seven years ago, which got a sequel titled Kai-Ri-Sei Million Arthur. Since then, the series has gotten other projects like Han-Gyaku-Sei Million Arthur, Kou-Kyou-Sei Million Arthur, and the 2D arcade fighter Million Arthur: Arcana Blood.
Iwano has worked at Square Enix for many years, having worked on the Chaos Rings series, Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume, and Star Ocean: The First Departure.
Iwano joins former Tales of producer and Studio Istolia head Hideo Baba as the second person to leave Square Enix this month.
