Mighty No. 9 has been delayed past Spring to September, and will be published in partnership with Deep Silver, Comcept announced this morning.
As part of the publishing deal and delay, the game will now include:
- Japanese voice-acting (in addition to English)
- French voice-acting
- French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese subtitles
- Ray DLC set consisting of one extra level and boss
All of the above content will be free for all eligible Kickstarter backers. Additionally, Comcept say the extra time is being used to polish the game and give it a physical retail release on PC, Wii U, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Linux, and Mac. Non-backers that buy the physical retail version will get the Ray DLC for free, too.
In an FAQ on the game’s website, Comcept state: “First and foremost, Comcept maintains total creative control over the Mighty No. 9 IP, both for this game and for any future titles. Partnering with Deep Silver has given us the resources to add even more content to our dream project, and help out with publicity and marketing so the developers can stay focused on making a great game.”
Mighty No. 9 will be released on September 15th in the U.S. and on September 18th in Europe and the rest of the world. The digital version will cost $19.99 / €19.99, while the retail edition will cost $29.99 / €29.99. This only applies to the PC and console versions of the game—Comcept say the handheld versions require more work and will be released at a later point.
Mighty No. 9 is in development for PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita.
