By With close to $3.9 million in Kickstarter contributions and another $186,000 from PayPal contributions, Mighty No. 9 has ended its Kickstarter campaign on a high note, having hit every single one of its stretch goals.
The final three stretch goals were achieved last night, adding a single-player stage exclusive to Call, the game’s second protagonist; an optional retro-style chiptunes soundtrack; and an online battle race mode.
In the online battle race mode, you and a friend compete online, trying to race to the end of slightly modified versions of Mighty No. 9’s single-player stages. You won’t be able to directly affect each other—instead, you’ll see your opponent as a “ghost” image—but enemies that you defeat will impede your opponent.
Mighty No. 9 is in development for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
