Metroid Would Benefit From Wii U Controller Says Nintendo’s Miyamoto

What two Nintendo series does Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto want to see on the Wii U? Metroid and StarFox, according to an IGN interview.

“With Metroid it’s very easy to imagine some interesting implementation for Wii U,” Miyamoto said to IGN. “I think that having another screen with the gyro built in really gives you a lot of interesting opportunities for development, and we can bring a lot of our games to life in a completely unique way with that.”

While Metroid is a series that Miyamoto thinks would benefit from the Wii U controller from an objective standpoint, the one he’d like to see most on the system personally is StarFox. However, he didn’t share any thoughts regarding what a potential StarFox game on Wii U would be like.
