Back in July, Metroid Prime: Federation Force’s Blast Ball demo debuted on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Originally, the servers for the online multiplayer mode of the demo were intended to be shut down in September, but instead the end was delayed. Now, a message in the North American eShop has given an exact time and date for the shutdown. [Thanks, NeoGAF.]

The servers for Blast Balls’ online demo will officially go offline on December 31st at 11:59 PM (PST). It is worth mentioning that this will only affect the online multiplayer mode and not offline and local multiplayer features.

Here is the full message:

“Thank you for your continued support. The online multiplayer feature for the Metroid Prime: Federation Force Blast Ball demo will be discontinued at 2016/12/31 23:59 PST. The discontinuation of this demo feature will not impact the online multiplayer feature available in the full version of the game.”

Metroid Prime: Federation Force is available for the Nintendo 3DS.
