We recently reported on the rumors about Metroid Prime 4 possibly being developed by Bandai Namco Studios Singapore and “multiple sources” have confirmed its accuracy according to a new report from Eurogamer.
Metroid Prime 4 is said to be in development by Bandai Namco Studios Singapore, which as we mentioned in the previous rumor report houses some former LucasArts Singapore staff who worked on the cancelled Star Wars 1313.
When Metroid Prime 4 was announced last year during Nintendo’s broadcast at E3 2017 we only got a brief look at the game’s logo. When asked about the developers, Nintendo declined to reply; however, the company did specifically say that it was not Retro Studios, the developers of the original Metroid Prime games.
According to Eurogamer’s report, Metroid Prime 4 is still in early development and there’s no suggestion it’ll launch this year, so it might actually be a good time for Nintendo to bring some sort of port of the Metroid Prime trilogy to Switch while we wait.
Metroid Prime 4 is in development for Nintendo Switch.
