Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will feature the return of base-building and development, a feature that was present in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the PSP, series creator, Hideo Kojima, revealed at the Eurogamer Expo.
“Furthermore, nowadays there are various ways to access the game world—you’re not just playing in your living room on your games console,” Kojima continued. “You may also access through your cell phone and other devices and still access that same game. I think in that respect that motherbase system lends itself very well to that system, and that’s something we’re planning on for Ground Zeroes.”
This likely means that the base-building aspect of Ground Zeroes will be accessible through smart phones and other such devices. Kojima shared that players will be able to access the base via helicopter in between missions. Once you’re there, you will be able to explore the base on foot.
As revealed last month, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes also has day-and-night cycles, as well as an open world to explore.
