Metal Gear in Concert 2023 Will Feature Original ‘Snake Eater’ Singer

Metal Gear in Concert 2023 will be held in Japan for the first time in three years. The tentative date for the concert is currently set for September 24, 2023. The venue for the concert will be the NHK Hall, located in Shibuya, Tokyo. A lottery pre-sale for the tickets started on August 10, 2023. Tickets cost ¥9,900 yen (or about $68). The concert features music from Konami’s Metal Gear series performed by a full-size orchestra, with synchronized in-game images displayed on a large screen. Donna Burke and Cynthia Harrell will be featured as singers.

Donna Burke makes a return after having participated in each iteration of the concert since its premiere in 2017. Meanwhile, Cynthia Harrell is the original singer of the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater opening song “Snake Eater.” This marks Harrell’s first ever participation in the concert.

As a reminder, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is the upcoming remake of the original MGS3. The game was revealed during the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase event with a teaser trailer. There is no confirmed release date.
