Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection Gets Launch Artwork and a Soundtrack Box

With the launch of Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection in Japan, Capcom has released a launch trailer for the game collection, a popularity poll, and information about a soundtrack box.

Apart from the launch trailer, Capcom revealed popularity poll results for the Mega Man Zero and ZX series’ characters. Here are the top 10 most popular characters:

  1. Zero
  2. Leviathan
  3. Omega
  4. Harpuia
  5. Ciel
  6. Cyber Elf X
  7. Aile
  8. Pandora
  9. Copy-X
  10. Elpizo

Additionally, a remastered soundtrack for the entirety of theMega Man Zero and ZX series is set to be released on March 25, 2020. The soundtrack will collect all 208 tracks across 6 CDs and cost 8,800 yen. Toru Nakayama, Hitoshi Ariga, Makoto Yabe, and other artists have contributed art for it. Currently, the soundtrack is available for preorder on the e-Capcom online store.

Aside from the soundtrack CD, Hitoshi Ariga (who did the ZX Tunes artwork), Hitoshi Ogino (who worked on the ZX manga), and Otsumami released new artwork to celebrate the occasion:

Even Inti Creates president Takuya Aizu got in on the action, releasing the first four pages of the 21-page long project proposal for Mega Man Zero on Twitter. The documents introduce the setting, show off Zero’s four usable weapons, and explains key gameplay elements like Elemental Chips, Cyber Elves, Codenames, and more.

Finally, Rie Tanaka, the voice actress for Ciel, released a brand-new self-cover of Mega Man Zero 4 vocal track “freesia” to commemorate the occasion.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
