rockdash4Capcom clarified the length of Mega Man Legends 3 Prototype Version a bit by noting the Nintendo 3DS download has 10+ missions. Instead of Mega Man, you play the game as Barrett and Aero, a new heroine selected by fans.

After Barrett completes the main missions and (presumably rides into the sunset with Aero), players will unlock a debug menu. This will allow fans to explore Mega Man Legends 3 beyond the scope of the missions and play with special move settings.

 

Mega Man Legends 3 Prototype Version will launch with the Nintendo 3DS eShop at the end of this month.
