By Jump magazine has revealed a new character in Tales of Zestiria, named Miclio. (Thanks, Re:Zaregoto) Miclio is main protagonist Slay’s closest friend and rival, and is described as a calm character, as opposed to Slay, who’s more excitable. His element is water.
Miclio is designed by Mutsumi Inomata and belongs to a “Heavenly Tribe,” who are supposed to be immortal beings. The Heavenly Tribe also have the ability to manipulate the sounds of heaven in some manner.
A pair of screenshots in Jump also seems to suggest that regular human beings cannot see Miclio. This would include Alicia, the other protagonist of Tales of Zestiria. However, Slay appears to live with the Heavenly Tribe, and can see Miclio just fine.
Tales of Zestiria is currently in development for the PlayStation 3.
