Red is a retelling of the Red Riding Hood fairy tale, only with much more violence, monsters, and evil grandmothers.
The sidescrolling action RPG casts Red as a battle-ready warrior, using her scythe to cut her way through a variety of huge monsters. She won’t have to fight alone, as she’ll be joined by Vermillion and Camellia, each with their own fighting styles and weaponry.
The game does not precisely follow the original tale, as it soon becomes apparent that Grandma will be a danger as well, and Red and her allies will have to join the monsters to help rescue the girls that old woman has placed in danger.
Red is the work of three university students, and will be free-to-play upon release. It has already been Greenlit for Steam.
