The Kotobukiya Bishoujo line of figures is a fun one, as it takes series like Transformers or Star Trek and makes a collection of figures based on Shunya Yamashita art. As the name suggests, all the figures in the line are beautiful women, so it means some fun or unusual adaptations. The Transformers ones certainly apply, and here are all the ones you should keep an eye out for when collecting.

Here are all the Kotobukiya Transformers Bishoujo figures available so far.

Optimus Prime

Optimus Prime started the rollout of this series. She launched in January 2023. It also isn’t too difficult to find her, though she tends to cost about 16,000円 (~$106). An alternate head part lets you display her with a mask.

Here’s how she looks:

What I also love is that Kotobukiya shared an official video for her to offer more insight into this Transformers Bishoujo figure.

Megatron

Megatron was the second figure to appear in this line. She showed up not too long after Optimus Prime, as she debuted in February 2023. The pricing is the same as well, as she cost 16,000円 (~$106) too.

Here’s a closer look at that figure:

Bumblebee

If you’ll notice now, Kotobukiya started a bit of a back and forth with this collection of Transformers Bishoujo figures. Autobot, Decepticon, Autobot, etc. That meant Bumblebee was the next figure to follow in the others’ footsteps. Her launch was August 2023. Again, she’s a 16,000円 (~$106) figure.

Here’s how she looked:

Like Optimus Prime, she also starred in a video:

Nemesis Prime

Okay, now we’re getting into the exclusives. Nemesis Prime is a limited edition that showed up at Anime Expo 2023 and the 2023 San Diego Comic Con. (Her initial launch was July 2023.) Basically, if Kotobukiya is at an event, you might see her. She’s a figure with the Optimus Prime mold and a new paint job. Her face is different too, though! If you can find her, she’s 16,000円 (~$106). Like the original, an alternate head part lets you display her with a mask.

Here’s how she looks:

Starscream

Here’s where things get to a point where I’m not exactly a fan of the direction taken, but I get why they did it. Kotobukiya decided the Decepticon Seekers would join the Transformers line of Bishoujo figures. The leader Starscream is the official and mainline one. She will debut in April 2024. She also marked a price increase for the figures, as they went up to 17,000円 (~$113) with her.

Here’s how she looks:

Thundercracker

The next Seeker appeared shortly after Starscream. Thundercracker is 17,000円 (~$113) and only appeared in a single, limited run. So odds are if you didn’t get a pre-order in or aren’t prepared to buy her at launch, you won’t get this variant.

Here’s a gallery looking at her:

Skywarp

Finally, Skywarp is the last of the Seekers bunch. She’ll be out in July 2024. Again, she’s limited like Thundercracker and costs 17,000円 (~$113). So if you want her, getting her at launch when she shows up is best.

Here’s how she’ll look once released.

There’s no word yet on if more characters will join this collection beyond 2024.
