Mass Effect, starring Seth Green

sethgreen.jpgBioware and Microsoft aren’t pinching pennies on the voice talent for Mass Effect. They reeled Seth Green of Austin Powers/Robot Chicken fame to play the voice of Joker, the pilot of the Normandy. Keith David, the voice of the Arbiter in Halo 3, takes on the role of Captain David Anderson and Aliens alum, Lance Henriksen, voices Admiral Steven Hackett.

I’m not entirely convinced that having a few known actors is going to make Mass Effect a better game. What do you think? Do you like the melding of Hollywood and video game voice acting? Did Christopher Lee nail his role in Kingdom Hearts II? Or is the money better spent on refining gameplay even if it means hiring lesser known voice actors?
