In the video, we see that amiibos are not initially very assertive or skilled. However, as the matches go on, the amiibo has the opportunity to rank up and improve its abilities.

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash will release for the Wii U on November 20th, 2015 in North America and Europe, November 21st in Australia, and January 28th, 2016 in Japan.
