It’s no secret by now that Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 has 10 minigames based on the Tokyo 1964 Olympics that use a retro artstyle, and today Sega released more information regarding four of them – 10m Diving, Volleyball, Judo, and Marathon.
Check out the info below:
10m Diving
An event where you dive from a platform 10m high. The key to victory is how fast you can accurately input all the commands shown.
Volleyball
Volleyball, as presented in the Tokyo 1964 Olympics. Thus, this version uses sideout rules, which are not used in official matches nowadays, meaning that the side which serves gets points if they attack successfully.
Judo
In Judo, you must keep your balance (shown with the balance gauge), and when the grabbed side loses their balance, you can throw them. The key to victory is your distance and keeping your balance.
Marathon
The Marathon event has players running 42.195km and compete for goal times. Make sure to drink the water in order to keep your stamina up, and slipstream behind your opponents to speed up.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will come to the Nintendo Switch on November 5, 2019 in North America and November 8, 2019 in Europe.
