Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was revealed during Ubisoft’s E3 2017 presser and its XCOM-style strategic gameplay was certainly a pleasant surprise. Here’s more footage that was shown during Nintendo’s Treehouse live stream.
The Mushroom Kingdom has been torn apart by a mysterious vortex, transporting the Rabbids into the once-peaceful area, splintering this beloved land. To bring order back to the Kingdom, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi team up with Rabbids heroes in a journey through four different worlds
As previously reported, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle’s characters have their own equipment and movesets in strategic battles that have destructible environments. The game also offers a multiplayer component with cooperative challengers that are available in multiple difficulty levels.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle releases for the Nintendo Switch on August 29, 2017.
