Mario Golf: World Tour will have worldwide online play over the Internet, Nintendo announced during a Nintendo Direct presentation this morning.

 

The game will also make use of the same community system that Mario Kart 7 uses for helping you find other players to play with.

 

Mario Golf: World Tour is slated for Nintendo 3DS release this Summer.
