Nexon has rolled out an update to the Korean version of MapleStory 2 that adds a pet system.
At the moment, there are only three pets available to recruit in MapleStory 2: the penguin, dog, and dragon. MMOCulture reports that the pets add speed boosts, can revive your character, pick up items, and add five points to physical and magical attack.
Aside from the pets, new high-level dungeons were introduced with this update, including a new final boss called Barkhant the “God of Darkness.” To meet him you’ll need to be a minimum level of 50 and enter his 10-person dungeon.
