Japanese creator Far East Pinball, @noguo_ on Twitter, has created a Nintendo Switch pinball peripheral which lets you mimic playing on a pinball cabinet while using TATE mode for a variety of pinball games. The device is powered via USB cable, and all you need to do after that is set up the Switch and plug in a connecting cable into the Nintendo Switch’s Type-C port.
The buttons then can be used to control the flippers. Shaking the peripheral allows you to shake the cabinet in-game as well, thanks to the motion sensors inside the peripheral. Note that as the case has been made to fit the regular Nintendo Switch screen, it is not compatible with the Nintendo Switch Lite.
According to the maker, games that currently work with the device include Pinball FX3, Star Wars Pinball, The Pinball Arcade, and Stern Pinball Arcade. Potentially more could be compatible.
