Japanese game company Zoo Corporation has released Mahjong Pretty Girls on Steam for Windows. It’s available at full price for $14.99.
The first thing to note is that you’ll probably want to be a little familiar with Riichi Mahjong (Japanese Mahjong) before you start playing Mahjong Pretty Girls. It’s meant as an authentic and tough recreation of the tile game and even has local rule variants you can select in the settings.
As Zoo notes, the 23 girls that you can battle against are “included for visual effect only,” although they are fully-voiced as well. You should expect no dressing down, and you should also expect them to give you a decent challenge. And, if you do lose to them, they’ll scream in ecstasy about their victory.
Included for you to choose to battle against is a Harajuku girl, a pious nun, a rabbit in human form, a ninja, a fox goddess, and an idolized band member.
