Magical Drop IIfor the Neo Geo is already available on the Wii Virtual Console…in Japan. An OFLC rating, however, reveals that an English release of Magical Drop II isn’t far off, with Nintendo publishing the game in the land down under.
The point of Magical Drop games is to avoid letting any of the falling bubbles reach the bottom of the screen. To do this, you grab bubbles and regurgitate them to the top of the screen. Three or more matching bubbles in a row causes them to pop.
In case you’re interested in picking up the sequel instead, Magical Drop III was re-released as part of a Data East Arcade Classics compilation for the Wii by Majesco earlier this year.
