State of Play Games has released a new trailer for the upcoming iOS version of its beautiful BAFTA-winning puzzle-adventure game Lumino City. The studio expects it to arrive on iOS by November. It came out on PC last year.
Lumino City has you playing as a young girl called Lumi who heads off into the city nearby to where she lives to recover her grandfather after he was kidnapped.
What’s remarkable about Lumino City is its hand-crafted world of cardboard, paper, motors, and miniature lights. It took three years to make the game including constructing a 10-foot high model to capture all the game’s scenes around.
The iOS version adds a little more tactility to the game as you use your fingers to solve its puzzles and navigate the city. State of Play hope the touchscreen helps to enhance the idea that you’re diving into a cute world made of real materials.
