One of the most established idol music games is still going strong. KLab Games’ Love Live! School Idol Festival has hit a new plateau. The mobile game, which launched in Japan in 2013 before being released worldwide, has now reached 40 million players worldwide.

 

Love Live! School Idol Festival is a rhythm game inspired by the anime and manga of the same name. Players recruit cards representing the series different heroines and equip them to their teams. Each one has stats and attributes. As you play through a song, you tap on the character’s faces to hit notes. The tracklist of available song changes rather frequently, rotating different songs in. There are also rather frequent special events.

 

 

Love Live! School Idol Festival is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
