There is a wide variety of Genshin Impact healers that you can bring into battle while exploring the vast regions of Teyvat. From Hydro-based healing to Pyro attack buffs, it can be difficult to know which hero to pull for. Some of the characters might be a bit better for your means, however.

What are the best healers in Genshin Impact?

In Genshin Impact, healers do more than just replenish your health bar while in battle. The support class can power up your strongest DPS unit so they’ll unleash devastating damage while also stopping foes in their tracks. Some healers can even help with elemental reactions that bring your team’s attack rotation to the next level.

With the release of Sumeru’s Dendro element in 2022’s 3.0 update, the healing class is now more important than ever. Below is a list of the five best healers in Genshin Impact that you should consider pulling and adding to your team roster as soon as possible.

Kokomi is the best Hydro healer in Genshin Impact

Despite making her debut back in 2021, Sangonomiya Kokomi still often ranks as the best healer in Genshin Impact on many tier lists. And for good reason! The Hydro user’s Elemental Skill Bake-Kurage is really just that incredible. Kokomi’s signature jellyfish move supplies healing that is so consistent it makes it almost nearly impossible for your team to take any damage while it is summoned on-field.

And because her Elemental Skill also constantly applies Hydro against enemies, Kokomi is perfect for setting up elemental reactions such as Electro-Charged, Frozen, Vaporize, and Bloom.  As if the Watatsumi Army leader wasn’t impressive enough, players can dish out a massive amount of damage with the best Kokomi artifacts equipped. Considering she is meant to be a healer, she can pretty much do it all and is a must-have for any account.

Bennett heals and buffs attack damage

For many players, Bennett still continues to be one of the most valuable characters to have debuted during Genshin Impact’s 1.0 launch in 2020. His Elemental Burst Fantastic Voyage is easily one of the most overpowered moves, as it both heals and buffs attack damage at the same time. When at Constellation level 5, Bennett’s Voyage can pretty much break the game.

Bennett is so useful that many of the strongest meta-defining teams in Genshin Impact include the Mondstadt hero. If you are looking to reach the highest damage possible with your best character, you will want to consider adding him to your rotation. Simply set up Fantastic Voyage, and stand back in awe as you start producing staggering damage numbers with the right elemental reactions.

Baizhu brings Dendro healing to Genshin Impact

Although Baizhu made his first appearance during the 2020 Liyue arc, he was finally made playable with the release of Sumeru. The wait was well worth it, though, as the Bubu Pharmacy owner has quickly become one of the best healers in Genshin Impact. With the debut of Dendro adding seven additional Elemental Reactions, Baizhu’s Elemental Burst has become essential to teams taking advantage of the extensive battle mechanic.

The powerful Burst attack generates both off-field Dendro application, while also creating a shield for teammates who are switched into battle. Because of this, Baizhu not only provides substantial healing, but he is also able to protect your attack rotation from being interrupted. To top all of this off, the Baizhu is even able to trigger Dendro reactions himself, making him one of the most versatile healer units in the game.

Shinobu is one of the strongest sub-DPS attackers

Not all healers are centered around their ability to generate health. This is what makes Kuki Shinobu stand out from the rest, as she is actually one of Genshin Impact‘s best sub-DPS units. Players looking for a support unit that balances healing with incredible damage should look no further.

The former shrine maiden is perfect for Electro-Charged, Overloaded, and Hyperbloom reaction teams as she provides powerful off-field Electro DMG. With her Elemental Burst having a low-energy cost, she is also an incredibly accessible support unit that is easy to build around.

Jean provides both Swirl and healing in Genshin Impact

What makes Jean incredibly valuable is her ability to Swirl and heal at the same time. Just like Bennett’s powerful Elemental Burst, most of the strongest teams in the game require an Anemo hero to spread elemental reactions for extra damage. Jean frees up a slot on any team by being able to Swirl and heal with her Elemental Burst Dandelion Field.

While not as good as Kazuha and Venti’s skills, Jean is also able to crowd control by pulling enemies towards her. If used correctly, players are able to create massive elemental reactions with her Anemo swirling. The fact that your entire team can have their health replenished at the same time is just the cherry on top and is why the Knights of Favonius leader is still one of Genshin Impact’s most useful healing units.

Genshin Impact is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Android, and iOS.
