As mentioned previously, Kazuki Soma and Akihiro Ehara also received character biographies. They provide more information regarding their relevance to the story of Lost Judgment. This also includes how Lost Judgment ties into its previous installment and the overall universe of the Yakuza series.

Soma is the leader of the RK group in Kamurocho. His ambition is to rule the underground of Kamurocho, hoping for the RK group to occupy the position the Tojo Clan once held. As a former member of the Tojo Clan, he was known for his ability to “see through lies.”

Ehara is the Metropolitan Police Department Chief. Roughly two months after his arrest for molestation aboard a train in Shinjuku, the courts found him guilty and convicted him. However, during that trial he revealed the location of a corpse in Yokohama.

Bits and pieces of this information were in the Lost Judgment reveal trailer, which was released upon the announcement of the game. Several of the cast members from Judgment will return in this sequel. Additionally, players will be able to engage in more mini-games and various side-stories that will exclusively happen at a school.

Lost Judgment releases worldwide for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One on September 24, 2021.
