LOGH: Die Neue Saga Will Have Battle-Based Story Branches

Aiming opened pre-registrations for Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue Saga in Japan. The massively multiplayer online mobile strategy game will have multiple story branches. The results of major battles that take place in the game will determine the story’s route and ending.

The company has also published a new trailer that describes the title’s gameplay system. Players will first have to choose between the Free Planets Alliance or the Galactic Empire. They can then mass-produce warships and recruit series characters as officers while interacting with other players in the same faction. Players can also hold joint training sessions where they hunt space pirates to gain enhancement materials for their fleets.

An overall gameplay session in Die Neue Saga will take place in a Season that runs for ten weeks in total. The game will stage a major battle every two weeks. It will use the results of these battles to determine the story progression, which will be reset at the beginning of a new season.

Die Neue Saga will appear as a game adaptation of the 2018 anime series Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These, which has had four seasons published as of 2022. The anime’s Season 5 is still under production as of mid-2024. Aiming initially revealed the game adaptation in February 2022. It then held a closed beta test in March 2024.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue Saga will be available for Android and iOS mobile devices in 2024 in Japan.
