Pupuya Games and Simon Creative’s Little Witch Nobeta has entered early access on Steam. This is a souls-like starring Nobeta, a magical girl who uses spells to fight enemies in a mysterious castle. It is normally $9.99, but has a temporary 10% launch discount in effect until June 30, 2020. It is also expected to be in early access for one or two more years.

In Little Witch Nobeta, players follow a young woman who doesn’t know much about herself. However, if she delves into a mysterious castle’s stages and uses Arcane, Fire, Ice, and Thunder spells to defeat its inhabitants, she might learn more about her origins. The early access version has three out of six stages complete, with more enemies and stages planned over the coming months.

To help provide a better idea of what to expect, here’s one early bit of footage showing a cinematic involving Nobeta and her black cat friend.

Here’s a more recent clip of her using her magical spells to attack enemies.

And here’s an illustration by LM offering a better look at Nobeta.
