She and the Light Bearer aims to capture a fairy tale feel with its mission to bring light to the darkest woods, having players guide the Light Bearer fairy through bright, colorful lands and into the ominous shadows within.
The Light Bearer must fly through hand-painted forest lands, finding the magical beings that inhabit the woods and stopping to help them along the way. By collecting items, solving riddles, and overcoming puzzles and challenges, players will build trust between them and the forest denizens, slowly unravelling the secrets that will lead them into the darkness at the forest’s heart and Mother, the mysterious creature they seek.
She and the Light Bearer aims to be a soothing experience for players, mixing acoustic music, charming visuals, and poetry-like dialogue to create a calming ambience.
She and the Light Bearer is currently in development, but is projected to release this year according to its Steam page.
