When the Lego Super Mario sets appear, you won’t have to stick with standard, plain old Mario. You’ll also be able to upgrade him. Lego Super Mario Power-Up Packs have been confirmed. The four sets will arrive on August 1, 2020, the same day the Adventures with Mario Start Course set will make its debut.
A video has been released looking at all four of the Lego Super Mario Power-Up Packs in action. When the Builder Mario power up suit is on, people will be able to “smash” Mario onto Legos to get coins. Cat Mario suit will add cat sound effects and an ability to vertically scale surfaces for coins. The Fire Mario power-up will allow people to “shoot” fireballs by performing a certain action when it is worn. Propeller Mario will let you “perform” tricks in the air to earn more coins.
In addition to the base set and Power-Up Packs, there will also be extra sets like Bowser’s Castle Boss Battle and Piranha Plant Power Slide. There’s even a Monty Mole and Super Mushroom preorder set.
Lego Super Mario sets will begin appearing on August 1, 2020. The Adventures with Mario Start Course is required if you want to use things like the Lego Super Mario Power-Up Packs or Expansion Sets.
