Legend of Zelda Fans Recreate Link’s Awakening Using Ocarina of Time’s Engine

Two Legend of Zelda fans have taken on the daunting task of recreating the world of Link’s Awakening, originally for the Game Boy Color, by using the engine from Ocarina of Time. Titled Link’s Awakening 64, the recreation features a storyline based on the original game and the manga series, as well as some original content. The bulk of the project is being created by Ty Anderson, while music is being composed by Lezg_g on YouTube.

 

Anderson has been working on the remake for over a year and you can check out some of the results of his efforts in the video below.
