The My Hero Academia manga ended with chapter 430, which ran on August 4, 2024, and the last installment involved a timeskip into the future of its characters. People can now read that chapter, as well as chapters 1, 2, 3, 428, and 429, via MangaPlus and Viz Media.
Editor’s Note: There will be no spoilers for the last chapter of the My Hero Academia manga in the news story below.
Like many of the preceding chapters of My Hero Academia, chapter 430 of the manga is 20 pages long. There is a color two-page spread that shows Deku and his classmates alongside All Might. They are all wearing their school uniforms and depicted as they were after the final battles at the end of the series.
From there, the final My Hero Academia installment kicks off with a timeskip into the future. It picks up eight years after the events in chapter 429. While one character is the main focus of the chapter, we also get to meet a new student preparing to attend U.A. High School. Other familiar characters are directly referenced with notes stating what they are doing now, while others appear in the background as Easter eggs for those who pay close attention.
There’s no release window for the final volume of the manga in Japanese or English yet. Volume 38, which covered chapters 375-385, launched in North America on June 4, 2024. Volume 39 will launch on October 1, 2024. The latest volume to appear in Japan was 41, which launched on August 2, 2024. That contained 411 through 422. Now that the series ended, there are also plans for an art book and other items.
The My Hero Academia manga is now over, and Viz Media handles physical copies outside Japan. The anime is streaming on Crunchyroll. A board game is in development.
