Due to licensing issues, Irem-developed shoot-em-up, R-Type, will only be available on the Wii Virtual Console until the end of the week.

 

If you want to grab the game, Sega say you’ll have to do it before September 30th. This version of R-Type is a port of the Sega Master System version.

 

A version of the game was also recently ported to Android devices by French publisher, DotEmu.
