Kuro no Kiseki II Teaser Trailer Hints More Relationship Developments

Kuro no Kiseki II Crimson Sin teaser trailer featuring Elaine Auclair

Nihon Falcom updated the Japanese official website for The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II – Crimson Sin. It also published a teaser trailer for the sequel. The trailer’s latter part shows an introduction cutscene similar to the first title, where the protagonist Van Arkride wakes up to a knock on his office door. However, the character relationships built in the prequel will bring some new changes.

Agnès Claudel, who came as a client in the first title, is now working part-time as an assistant at Spriggan – Arkride Solutions Office while continuing her school study. Van thinks Agnès is visiting him, even though it is not her working day. To Van’s surprise, the visitor turns out to be Elaine Auclair, the Calvard Bracer Guild ace and Van’s childhood friend who comes for a formal request.

Falcom published new character artworks and screenshots for Kuro no Kiseki II. It teased more characters that will appear in the new title. One of them is Swin Abel, who will make his return from Trails into Reverie. The company also shared official screenshots showing the fishing and battle segments in the upcoming game.

On the same day, Dengeki Online held a live stream that included world premiere gameplay footage of Kuro no Kiseki II. It showed how the player could control Van, Agnès, and Elaine in fighting wild monsters with action and command-based battles. The video ran at 60 frames per second, with additional confirmation of a High-Speed Mode that speeds up the gameplay.

The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II – Crimson Sin is a single-player story RPG that Nihon Falcom will release first in Japan for PlayStation 4 and 5 in Fall 2022.
