It has been a day since Wuthering Waves had its official global launch and Kuro Game both acknowledged and apologized for the number of issues that affected players’ experiences with the game. It thanked players for their patience regarding technical issues and will offer a compensation of 10 Lustrous Tides on May 24, 2024.
Kuro Game’s official website listed information on known issues and what the developers are working on. These are the Login Timeout error, an error in which players’ phones have difficulty performing age authentication while in Night Mode, Unreal Engine 4 crash reports, and issues with Samsung devices with Exynos series processors. There are also reports of players needing to login every time the game client relaunches on PC. This isn’t an issue but a UI optimization issue, which Kuro Game will fix. It will also fix a number of localization issues that exist, which mostly seem to be quality problems.
Highly anticipated even prior to launch, a number of players have posted their issues with Wuthering Waves on social media like X (Twitter) and Reddit. Aside from clunky localization and an exposition-heavy story, many players have posted screenshots with poor textures and clunky 3D models. This is likely due to issues with Unreal Engine 4. Since the game is still new, it may need an adjustment period before it plays as well as other popular gacha games on the market.
Wuthering Waves is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PC.
