Kotobukiya revealed its first Armored Core 6 model kit, and it will be based on V.IV Rusty’s Schneider Nachtreiher/40E Steel Haze. The company showcased an unpainted prototype of the kit at the 62nd Shizuoka Hobby Show, and it also published images on its website so that people worldwide can see it too.
Details about the new model kit are still sparse as of this prototype reveal. While most prior series model kits like Nineball Seraph and Noblesse Oblige share the same 1/72 scale and thus support interchangeable parts, Kotobukiya has yet to confirm the scale for its upcoming Armored Core 6 kits. The company has not announced a release window for this Steel Haze model kit either.
Here are some of the sample images of the model kit’s unpainted prototype:
This revelation will put Kotobukiya in direct competition with Bandai Spirits. The former had earlier revealed that it will also sell a Steel Haze model kit under the 30 Minutes Missions brand. In addition, Bandai Spirits will simultaneously release another kit based on Raven’s Nightfall in September 2024.
Kotobukiya’s model kit of the Schneider Nachtreiher/40E Steel Haze will be available worldwide. It will be based on V.IV Rusty’s AC unit that appeared in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. The mech action game is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
