By This morning, G.Rev announced a release date for their top-down Nintendo 3DS shooter, Kokuga. The game will be released on September 27th, and as previously reported, it puts you in control of a tank. You can watch an older trailer for the game below:
Kokuga uses a card system in the place of powerups. When you start a stage, you get 20 cards. Four are displayed at at time on the 3DS bottom screen and you tap one to use it. Cards can either give you offensive or defensive capabilities, but the order in which you can use them appears to be randomized.
Kokuga will support Download Play using a single cartridge for up to four players when it is released. G.Rev say that more information on the game will be made available in the days to come.
