During the October 2021 State of Play, SNK revealed new KOF XV fighter Dolores. Now, it followed up with more details about the latest entrant in the tournament. She won’t be showing up to fight alone. When she appears in KOF XV, she’ll be a part of Team Rival alongside Isla and Heidern.
First, SNK shared new screenshots of Dolores in KOF XV. The action shots showed her costume and one of her attacks.

After that, it confirmed that Team Rival will consist of Dolores, Isla, and Heidern. Both Dolores and Isla are new to the series. Though one of them has a familiar sort of power. SNK Character Designer Tomohiro Nakata talked about Isla’s spectral hands and how they compare to the ones Shun’ei uses.
There’s still no backstory for Team Rival explaining why the group is taking part in KOF XV. The official website‘s been sharing insight into various teams. So far, groups like Team Hero, Team Art of Fighting, Team Orochi, Team Sacred Treasures, and Team Fatal Fury’s stories were told.
KOF XV will appear on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on February 17, 2022. An open beta will be held on the PS4 and PS5 in November 2021.
