Phantasy Star Online 2 has been around for quite some time now, and so has Sword Art Online for that matter, but the two will meet in a new crossover coming to the Japanese PSO2 this December. Sega announced the collaboration in the latest PSO2 Station live stream.
The Sword Art Online x Phantasy Star Online 2 crossover event will feature new collaboration items, including avatars, Weapon Camos, Lobby Actions, and more. Furthermore, Kirito and Asuna from Sword Art Online will appear as guest characters in the Oracle Mothership. Sega didn’t share too much info on the crossover event, but we’ll have more details in the next PSO2 Station! broadcast.
During the live stream, Sega reminded players that the 7th Dragon collaboration will be back as a collaboration revival. The Revival Scratch will bring back several costumes from the series. This 7th Dragon collaboration revival will arrive sometime in early November.
Sega also reminded players that the Senran Kagura collaboration will be back around sometime in the middle of November. The event features collaboration costumes for Asuka, Homura, Yumi, and Miyabi. Players will also get a chance to score a bunch of Senran Kagura items for their rooms, including Asuka and Yumi oppai mousepads.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is available for the Xbox One and the PC via Windows 10. The game is available in Japan for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
