A Kirby Fighters 2 demo launched… in some regions, that is. If someone has a European or Japanese Nintendo eShop account, then they can head to the storefront and pick up the free trial. However, there is no such download available in the North American eShop just yet. Update: As of 12pm CT on October 21, 2020, it is in the North American eShop as well.
Nintendo took to Twitter and YouTube to announce the demo and share what people will see in it. All four of the Fighter Rank 1 copy abilities and buddies will be there, so people will have Bomb Kirby, Staff Kirby, Sword Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee on their side. The Story mode’s first chapter, Buddy Match Debut, will be available. It will also be possible to try the offline and online multiplayer.
Here’s the full Kirby Fighters 2 demo trailer.

As a reminder, Kirby Fighters 2 is a platform fighter where you can team up with other Kirbys or buddy characters like Meta Knight. You can go through its story, take part in Battles alone or with other people, train, or go through a Single-Handed mode where fights gradually get more difficult. (There’s also smooching.)
Kirby Fighters 2 is available for the Nintendo Switch, with a demo available in Europe and Japan.
