Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will have multiplayer. In Friend Versus Mode, up to eight people can participate in the multiplayer mode to compete to receive the highest score on the selected stage. The Tokyo Game Show 2020 stream mentioned that local multiplayer will be available.
Double Play Mode is another multiplayer mode in Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory that was shown off during the broadcast. Two players can engage in co-op and work together to complete stages.
Additional information revealed during the Tokyo Game Show 2020 Square Enix broadcast included a look at the different difficulties. Yes, Proud Mode will be part of Melody of Memory. And for those who would prefer a more casual experience, Beginner and Normal modes are also available.
There are also three different types of button configurations. Single Button, Normal, and Performer are the three-button schemes. Each is tailored to a different level of proficiency regarding rhythm games. If this is your first rhythm game, or aren’t exactly the best at them, Single Button Mode caters to those players.
Other features outside of multiplayer in Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory include the Museum. Players will be able to re-watch cutscenes, listen to music, and view artwork through the Museum.
