Although various events are being canceled in Japan due to COVID-19, the Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory cafe will still go forward. Fans of the series will be interested to know that the event has three exclusive items on sale. Typically these are only available in-store, but an online third party named Aitai Kuji allows fans overseas to get their hands on the goods.
From January through March 2021, Square-Enix will have another pop-up cafe to celebrate the launch of Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory. The venue will have themed food and drinks, along with exclusive merchandise. The limited-edition hoodie features Sora and Kairi sitting on thrones on the reverse, with a beamed semiquaver musical note in the shape of a crown on the zipper. The T-shirt highlights scenes from in-game in an A4-style face print. Finally, the cap has a lovely monogram pattern underneath the brim with two asymmetrical pins as accents.
The Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory café will show up in multiple locations in Japan. Artina in Higashi-Shinjuku and the official Square Enix cafés in Akihabara, Tokyo and Umeda, Osaka will hold the events. All sites are currently running the themed café, ending on March 12, 2021. Fans in Japan can make reservations or visit in-person. Those who can’t nab a spot or don’t have time to dine can visit the space just to grab some quick merch. For those who can’t get enough Kingdom Hearts goodness, don’t forget that the Riku and Sora Nendoroids are up for pre-order, too.
