As previously discussed, the game is the first full return of Jun Maeda as full creative head in 13 years since Little Busters!, and features Yuugen (character designer for the Mysterious subseries of the Atelier series) as character designer. The game’s theme song is ‘Before I Rise’, sung by Nagi Yanagi.

According to the team behind the game, the decision to delay the game is not being made lightly, and is being done to incorporate feedback from fans since the announcement. They wish to reconsider the best way of providing Jun Maeda’s signature storytelling to fans as an RPG, and whether it works as Key’s first smartphone RPG. In order to pursue that ideal, they decided to delay the game to 2021.

Heaven Burns Red will begin service on iOS and Android in 2021. You can listen to the game’s theme song on the official site here. Check out more info from the reveal in our previous report here.
